A 24-year-old traveler finds that Quebecers don't "sparkle" and don't live their passions enough.

At 24, Jade Driscoll is living her passion for travel to the fullest: the young Quebecer has visited no fewer than 25 countries over the past five years.
The woman who shares photos of her travels on her social networks came to share her almost nomadic lifestyle in an interview on Isabelle Perron's show, on QUB radio and TV, broadcast simultaneously on 99.5 FM Montreal.
It was the death of her ex- boyfriend that prompted Jade Driscoll to set off on an adventure.
"It really made me realize what life is like, how short it is," she says. "It made me question my grief. I asked myself: if I died tomorrow, am I happy right now? Am I doing what I'm passionate about in life? And the answer was no."
The young woman therefore ended her nursing studies and then began working in a car dealership strictly to finance her first trip.
She then headed to Banff and ultimately stayed in British Columbia for eight months.
"When I came back, I thought it was incredible. I made a mission for myself, and then I started leaving. I went to Costa Rica, Peru, Miami, Hawaii..." says Jade Driscoll.
The young Quebecer says she stays on average one to two months per destination.
"I would come back to Quebec, make a little money and then leave again," she explains.
Work to travelThe avid traveler earns extra income as a virtual assistant, a job that allows her to make a few bucks even on the other side of the world.
For the rest, the cost of living is lower than in Quebec in many countries and Jade Driscoll learned to manage her budget, but also to live on credit, then to return to Quebec to repay her debts and replenish the coffers in order to start again better.
She often turns to restaurant jobs to make quick money and finance her next trip.
“One month to pay it back, one month to leave with money, then I was gone again,” explains Jade.
"The financial side of things is definitely stressful [...] I think it took time to manage my anxiety about that. On one of my first trips, to Hawaii, I came back, and then I ran out of money. I had to call my mom to get her to wire me money so I could pay for a flight back," she adds.
Today, she says she feels much more at ease about accumulating thousands of dollars in debt while traveling.
"Money comes back. And when you live with passion, and you have a goal, you'll achieve it," insists the 24-year-old.
Quebecers are not "bubbly"Traveling so much made Jade Driscoll realize what she liked less about Quebec.
"I don't find people sparkling. I don't often hang out with all the right people, but I find that people in Quebec sometimes feel a little sorry for themselves. I find that people don't experience enough passion," she maintains.
She laments that many people define themselves by their jobs rather than by their occupations, hobbies and passions.
